1. Company Information & Regulatory Status

  • Financial Brokerage Disclosure: We act as a credit broker, not a lender. We can introduce you to a limited number of finance providers who may offer funding for your vehicle purchase. We may receive a commission or fee from the lender for introducing you to them.


2. Vehicle Information & Availability

  • All vehicles displayed on our website or marketing platforms are subject to availability.

  • We make every effort to ensure vehicle descriptions, pricing, specifications, and mileages are accurate. However, errors may occasionally occur, and we reserve the right to correct pricing or specification errors prior to entering into a sales contract.

  • Displayed mileages are accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication, subject to delivery, transport, and customer test drives.


3. Sales Agreement & Vehicle Inspection

  • Customers are strongly encouraged to inspect the vehicle thoroughly and undertake a test drive prior to purchase. All our vehicles are sold with  Valid MOT for minimum of 6 Months. 

  • A legally binding contract is formed only when a sales invoice or agreement is signed by both parties and cleared funds (or approved finance payout) are received.


4. Deposits/ Reservations/ Holding Policy

  • A reservation is a service where we will hold a vehicle for a maximum of 10 days for a viewing, The reservation is fee is fully refunded after viewing the vehicle, whether a purchase is made or not. If no viewing has been made then we reserve the right to not refund the deposit.

  • A holding deposit reserves a vehicle for an agreed timeframe. 

  • A reservation can be turned into a Deposit after viewing the vehicle, also a deposit is taken where work has been agreed to be carried out on a vehicle then this is  non-refundable if you fail to complete the purchase without a statutory right to cancel or a valid legal ground.


5. Payment & Finance

  • Vehicles will only be released once full cleared funds are received in our bank account or when finance documentation is completed and payout is confirmed by the lender.

  • Where a third party finance company is used by the customer, we hold no responsibility with any issues/ cancellations when going through a sale. 

  • We accept payments via cash, bank transfer and major debit/credit cards as specified on your order form.


6. Statutory Rights & Consumer Rights Act 2015

  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Vehicles supplied will be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described, taking into account the vehicle's age, mileage, and price.

  • In the event of a fault within statutory limits, you must contact us promptly to arrange an inspection and appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the law).


7. Distance Selling & Off-Premises Sales

  • If you purchase a vehicle entirely online or away from our business premises (without visiting our dealership), you may be entitled to a statutory 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

  • Vehicle return conditions—including reasonable deductions of £1 per mile for mileage used, vehicle condition checks, and return delivery fees—will apply as detailed in our Distance Selling Policy.


8. Part Exchange

  • Any part-exchange valuation provided online or verbally is indicative and subject to physical inspection, vehicle history check, MOT verification, and service documentation.

  • Outstanding finance on a part-exchange vehicle must be fully declared prior to transaction completion.


9. Complaints & FCA Dispute Resolution

  • We aim to provide the highest standard of service. If you have a complaint regarding our financial brokerage services or vehicle sales, please contact us directly in writing.

  • If your complaint relates to financial services and we cannot resolve it to your satisfaction, you may have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).


10. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.


Warranty

  • All our vehicles sold include a 90 day covering the Engine and Gearbox or Battery and Motor if an EV vehicle. The warranty is return to base for repairs which include parts and labour up to the value of the car. 
  • An extended warranty is with 'Autogaurd' can be taken from 6 months to upto 3 years.

1. Our Commitment At The Coalville Motor Company Ltd, we aim to provide exceptional service across vehicle sales and finance brokerage. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, we want to know so we can investigate and put things right.

2. How to Make a Complaint You can submit your complaint through any of the following channels:

Please include your full name, contact details, vehicle registration number, order/invoice details, and a clear summary of your concern to help us investigate efficiently.

3. Our Investigation Process

  • Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint in writing within 5 working days.

  • Investigation: A designated manager will review your complaint, gather all relevant information, and examine the sales or finance documentation.

  • Progress Updates: If our investigation takes longer than expected, we will keep you informed of our progress.

  • Final Response: We aim to issue a comprehensive written Final Response as quickly as possible, and no later than 8 weeks from receiving your complaint.

4. Financial Brokerage Complaints (FCA & Financial Ombudsman Service) If your complaint relates to our credit brokerage services (e.g., finance arrangements, commission disclosures, or credit introductions under FCA Ref: 1033228):

  • If we cannot resolve your complaint within 8 weeks, or if you are dissatisfied with our Final Response, you have the right to escalate your complaint free of charge to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).

  • Timeframe: You must contact the Financial Ombudsman within 6 months of the date on our Final Response letter.

5. Vehicle Sales & General Consumer Disputes If your complaint relates to the condition, repair, or purchase of a vehicle (governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2015) and cannot be resolved directly with us, you may seek independent advice from:
